This radical, performance event undermines expectations and ignores the rules. Experimental, raw and adventurous works that explores gender, politics, history, movement, sound and text.

The artists move away from traditional tropes, making it contemporary and accessible to everyone. Connecting with the pulse of what’s piping-hot right now, the artists share a philosophy of practice, to de-mystify flamenco making it accessible to wider arts audiences and moving it from the periphery of ethnic exoticism to contemporary relevance.

Salón Flamenco is an intimate salon for lovers of flamenco. A one-of-a-kind biennial platform showcasing an expanding collection of artists from across Australia.
